Jennifer started her graphic design career after graduating with a BFA in Advertising Design from North Texas State University in 1987. She honed and polished her design skills working at publishing companies in the Bay Area where she became adept at publication design as well as project- and print-management. Previously, she worked in the retail field as a design manager for a Northern California drug store chain.

Since 1989, Jennifer has owned and operated two full-service graphic design firms in Northern California, Fineline Design and, currently, Jennifer Hines Design, which she opened in 1999. Her firm specializes in the design of publications—catalogs, guides, journals, booklets, and brochures—in addition to logo and package design, illustration and technical drawing, branding and marketing strategies, and signage and display graphics. Her client list is comprised of Fortune 500 corporations, high tech firms, financial institutions, public agencies, cities, and non-profits.

Jennifer runs her studio and lives with her husband in Oakland, CA, where she also enjoys playing golf and scouring estate sales for Danish-modern treasures.
